A Boy's Day

I had what a crazy busy day yesterday!
I only had two classes but I spent the whole day in the library rewriting my history paper!
The draft was due on Thursday, but it was the most horrible paper I have ever written so I literally rewrote it entirely yesterday...

I had my first flag football game yesterday with KD!
We got creamed!
Let me tell you. We played a medical school team and they were literally huge and just really good.
So we lost 34-0 and I would just like to say it wasn't any part my fault, because I didn't even play....
I just stood on the side lines and froze my butt off!!!

I also had lots and lots of boy stuff going on yesterday...
That makes me sound like a huge player or whatever, but no, it was good guy stuff!
My good guy friend and I from back home rekindled our friendship AND my guy friend and I here rekindled our friendship AND I talked to a cute boy!!!
Woo!
And that all happened within 2 hours last night.
So last night was a bit crazy, but so great at the same time!

I froze last night at my football game and I also just froze during the day.
It was 30 degrees here yesterday with the wind chill....
What happened to 70 degrees and sunny like last week??
Huh??
So I bundled up yesterday in my nice new wool sweater from H&M and my knee high boots that Sophia wanted to steal....
I added a pop of color to my very dark and wintry outfit with my pink mirrored aviators and my pink/burgundy studs.

A Weekend at Wake ft. Sophia

This weekend, I had a third roommate!!!
Sophia came to visit me down in North Carolina and it was so much fun!!!
We did a lot of partying and a whole lotta cuddling.... lol

So Friday night, I got to drive Alex's car all the way to Greensboro to pick up Sophia because lol Alex couldn't drive because she is concussed... lol
But it was really fun to drive Alex's car. I know she was freaked out that someone else was driving it, but I had a great time and I was a great driver, if I do say so myself.
And this was my first time driving in North Carolina! Wooooo!
That night, we went out (shocker) and had a great time.
It was just kinda a weird night, because Wake currently hates all Greek life....
But it's fine, I hope Soap still had fun!

Saturday, we woke up early and got ready for the Wake Duke game!
We went to a pre-game first at our favorite frat house and "dartied."
Took some cute pics, obviously and then I played some football, ya know I have to practice for my flag football team!!!
And then made our way over to the stadium via a pledge driver and fought our way into the stadium for good seats.
Good thing I am from New York and aggressive because we were able to get some solid seats in the student section on the floor close to the action, thanks to me. *toss toss*
This game was legendary!!!!
Every second of the game was nail bitting and I literally almost cried.
I was so sad that we lost and that I didn't get to sit with all my friends at the game.
:(
We then had to wash away our sorrows with punch at a frat party.

I hope Soap had fun, I know I did!!!
And I hope our parties lived up to our school reputation of #14 party school!!!
lol
Love you bubbles!!! Hope you had fun and I will see you soon!!!

Sophia's entire outfit is literally:

My outfit:

Pants: J Crew black Gigi pants with pockets
Necklace: H&M sparkly choker
Earrings: Tiffany pearl studs

70 Degrees in JANUARY

Ah yep, you read that right, it was 70 degrees yesterday!!!!
Can you believe it??
Omg!
I should really create a tab on my blog called like "Winter in the South..." because I don't know where to put these blog posts. Because it is technically winter, but yet, I am dressing in like fall or spring clothes...
I also finally realize why everyone loves the south!
It was so nice walking to class and just being outside yesterday!
Although, I did spend most of my day in the library....
I had a big draft of a history paper due today, and it was really hard, so I scrambled to finish it last night.
And let me tell you, this draft, was honestly the worst thing I have ever written in my entire life....
Like I think a third grader could write better than me!

I also just had a busy night last night.
I had a WFU Style meeting, where a picture of me was put up on the board because I was a top contributor amongst some of the other girls in the club. *round of applause for me*
And then my friends and I went to the Banshees' show!
It's like SNL at Wake.
The actors put on skits about campus life and it's just so funny.
I died.
They had a lot of frat jokes and just made jokes about super relatable stuff on campus!
It was a great night, until I had to finish writing that paper....

A Magic Trick

I am only taking 13 credit hours and only have two classes on Tuesday and I am still swamped with work!
I just did so much yesterday. I went to two professors office hours and did my laundry.
I have a draft of a paper due tomorrow for my history class and it is soooo hard.
I love to write (obvi) and think I am pretty good at it (most of the time) but this prompt is just so difficult because it requires combining so many different ideas and readings into one thesis.
And I am having the most difficult time!
Help!

I finally realized that if I don't put my blouses and button downs in the dryer and just hang dry them they are wrinkle free!
It's magic!
I always knew this silly trick but I didn't actually realize it worked or did it until yesterday....
So way to go!
And look how great my shirt looks, all wrinkle free, and no iron necessary!
I wish I realized this silly trick at the beginning of last semester because I would have saved myself soooooo much time ironing!

I really love this outfit!
It is so different from what I normally wear, and it just really keeps people on their toes!
I love how the shirt is very classic yet the ripped boyfriend jeans make the outfit more casual and very "model off duty" kinda look!
And who doesn't love a fun statement shoe!
I hardly ever wear these, but when I do, I sure do get a lot of compliments on them!
This look doesn't need a lot of jewelry or anything because the shoes and just the whole outfit is very loud itself.
I just put on my double pearl earrings from Tory Burch, so that there is just a little something extra in the outfit.

This is normally an outfit I would wear in the spring or fall. But since it was literally 55 degrees yesterday in JANUARY, and YES, those are REAL flowers behind me, I decided to wear something not so "wintry."
And I also love that my shoes match the flowers!

Earrings: Tory Burch double pearl studs
Shoes: DSW blue suede shoes (similar)

It's Girl Scout Cookie Season!!!

Hey welcome back!!
I had a crazy fun weekend and now am trying to survive my first full week of classes...

On Friday, my friends and I went to Burger Batch downtown and stuffed our faces with these really huge milkshakes and burgers (not as good as Black Tap NYC).
After that we were all in food coma and just snuggled and hung out in bed.
We went out that night at Red, White and Blue themed party, because Trump was sworn in, and then stayed up all night!

Saturday, I was exhausted and literally slept until 1 pm, until Kristin and Alex had to come wake me up....
And then we made it lunch (or really breakfast, for me) and I saw that there were Girl Scouts selling cookies!
As you may or may not know, I am on a GS cookie box!
I am on "The Thank's A Lot!"
They are not sold in NY because of the baker, but they are sold pretty much everywhere else in the country!
And so I had no idea if they were going to be sold in NC or not, and guess what? They are!!!!
So on campus, little Girl Scouts were selling MY COOKIE BOX!!!
It was soooo crazy and amazing!!!
I went up to the booth on campus, and literally said "Funny story, that's me!" as I pointed to myself on the box....
The girls and parents were so surprised and just amazed that these were actual Girl Scouts and not models.
They were all so sweet, and I explained how I was chosen for the box, and who the other girls on the boxes were, and also just all about my years of being a Girl Scout!
It was so amazing and fun and I just loved talking to the leaders and girls!
One little girl asked for my autograph, which I politely declined, because I am not famous at all.
And we took some photos and it was just so sweet!
I also am in Kappa Delta, which is the sorority who partners with Girl Scouts on campus, so that was such a nice connection too!
Go buy your Girl Scout cookies!!!!!

After all of that excitement, my friends and I got dressed up and went to a sports jersey party on campus.
It was super fun and nice!
And then we rallied again and went out that night!

It was an exhausting weekend, but so much fun and next weekend is going to be even more fun because I am having a special visitor next weekend!!!!
Eeeekkk!! So excited!!!

Lol, so apparently we are having a Nor-eastern....
It literally won't stop raining, and I don't know what to wear anymore!
I love my boots, don't get me wrong, but they are a little bright and cray at times, and I also love wearing color in my clothes so sometimes it's a bit too much color.
Also, my rain jacket is bright pink as well.....
I should have probably thought that through....
But it is what it is!

Meet my Friends!!!

Meet my friends: Emily and Kristin

What's a better way to spend your Thursday afternoon than with a photo shoot with your best friends??
Ah maybe spending it in bed watching Netflix??
Ah maybe...
But it was so nice out yesterday, and everyone looked so cute, that we wanted to do a photo shoot!
But before I go into details about their outfits, I would like the blogosphere to meet my best friends.
(I think you've met all of them before)
But in case you forgot...
In our selfie, there is Emily (in the middle), Kristin (below me) and Alex (on the right).
Yay! So now that you know who they are, let's get into some details...

We all became friends because we live on the same hall. I love them all and am so thankful and happy to call them my best friends. (A couple besties are missing, but they will get another post at another time.)

I would also like to point out that we didn't coordinate our outfits...
It just so happens that they all blend very well together, and if we were going to put these photos on a Christmas card, they would look amazing!

Let's start off with Kristin.
She was one of the first girls I became friends with here shortly after meeting Blair.
She is Blair and my "third roommate!"
And she is what I like to call "exotic," because she's from New Mexico, but that's really just a joke.
She could be from New York for all I know because she may or may not be even sassier than me at times!
Regardless, I love her and I know I can always count on her for anything!
(Kristin actually wanted to be in the blog post, for once!)

Shirt: Brandy Melville black t-shirt
Sweater: Anthropologie long cardigan
Jeans: American Eagle jeggings
Shoes: Frye brown ankle boots

Funny story about the pants Kristin is wearing...
Emily and I have the exact same ones. It's like sisterhood of the traveling pants.
We are all in love with them!

Next we got Emily.
I'm not really sure how we became close, but I remember going into her room and seeing her pictures above her bed and just thinking how cute and sweet she looks, (and is!)
She flatters me when she asks for my opinion of her outfits...
And she is just so warm and fuzzy.
She is also the perfect height to give me the best hugs!!
Illlyyyyyy

Dress: Nordstrom burgundy dress
Boots: DSW ankle boots
Necklace: Francesca's metal statement

And finally we have Alex.
You have probably seen her or heard her talked about the most here on T&P.
She has been the girl I call when I want some really candid or artsy shots of my outfit.
She is so sweet and fun and I am so glad we got to explore NYC and I got to show her around my home town over Christmas break.
She is so energetic, and not at all quiet....

Dress: unknown (lol thanks Alex)
Boots: Target black over the knee boots

I love these girls! I love hanging out with them and watching movies or going out! They are my best friends and I know I can count on them for anything.
I am so excited to see what kind of adventures the future holds for our friendship!

And now onto the best part of this blog post: me!

Sweater: J Crew cheetah sweater
Pants: H&M red pants
Earrings: Tiffany pearl studs
Necklace: Van Cleef & Arpels vintage Alhambra pendant
Watch: Michael Kors Blair gold watch
