Je me sens très française! (I feel very French!)

Bonjour mes amis!!
I felt so Parisian in this outfit today! As some of you might know I am president of French Honor Society at school and I am obsessed with Paris! I went to Paris two years ago, and when I went I fell even more in love with France than I already had been.
It was a coincidence that I wore this outfit today, because today I distributed French and English dictionaries to 7th grade French students at my school. They were all so cute and so sweet! They all seemed so excited about French class, just like I was in 7th grade, and I hope that they continue to fall in love with French class and get to travel there one day!

Who says you can't wear sequins to school?

Stacy and Clinton from TLC's What Not to Wear always taught me that there is nothing wrong with a little (or lotta sparkle). My mom also enforced that "rule" when we were buying this shirt.
When I bought it a couple of years ago, I thought it was very loud and ostentatious but my mother reaffirmed me that Stacy and Clinton would love my shirt and tell me there is nothing wrong with a little sparkle at school!
I had a very monochromatic look at school today, with my purple shirt, sweater and backpack! I love jeans. I wear them everywhere and I think they are casual enough for school but still always make the outfit look very pulled together.

Green and Blue

Hello all of my Tall and Preppy fans!! I cannot believe it, but today we reached over 2,000 views to my blog!! OMG! Thats amazing!! Thank you all so much for your continued love and support! I know it may not seem a lot to very big bloggers with lots of followers, but to me, it means a lot!
I definitely matched the grass today in this outfit!
When I got this shirt a couple of years ago, I only thought I could wear this shirt with dark jeans, because it was a fall shirt. I noticed that the dark pants made the whole outfit seem too dark, and I had too much blue on! But as you've noticed, now I am all about wearing white pants after labor day, and I think the darkness of the shirt really balances out the starkness of the pants!
And to think, that it is almost October, and I am still in sandals! It's crazy!

A Preppy Guide to Wearing Denim Shorts!

As all of you know, I am super preppy... so when I bought a pair of denim shorts over the summer my friends were pretty shocked, as was I.
As cute as they are to wear them with a t-shirt and flip flops, I am all about looking pulled together at all times. Wearing a t-shirt and denim shorts is just a little too laid back looking for me. So what else would I pair with denim shorts? A white button down!!
I really liked how the roughness and casualness of the shorts balanced out the super preppy and professional look of the white button down!! I think the big chunky necklace and the studded sandals really pulled the outfit all together!
I usually am not this daring and "trendy" but I really loved wearing this outfit and going outside my comfort zone!

Statment Earrings

What's up friends?? So tonight was my friend Bridget's (the blonde) birthday party!!
We went to this really good Greek restaurant and partied the night away!
The restaurant is pretty nice and I didn't want to wear a dress so I thought that a very simple outfit with one bold accessory, my earrings, was the way to go! My earrings had the same orange in them as my shirt so that's why I was able to match them together! This is why I love accessories! I love taking a simple outfit and adding a cute shoe, bag or in this case big statement earring and giving the outfit some pop!
All my friends yelled at me for wearing heels!! But I don't care! I love wearing heels! They make me feel so fierce and I just love being tall!! In these shoes I am over 6 feet tall, but the higher the shoes the better!! So if your tall like me, don't let your friends tell you you are too tall to wear heels! You work it girl and do what you want to do!!
Yet again I'm wearing my white jeans, shocker!! I know! But they are such a staple and classic piece that every woman should have in their wardrobe! And who cares that it is after labor day and I am wearing white jeans!!?? I say that is just a guide line, and since it is still hot here, it is still summer. Therefore, I can still wear white pants!

Winter Formal #tbt

Last winter my friends and I went to our school's winter formal! It was at a local country club and everyone looked so pretty and we had so much fun! I felt so glamorous! My friends and I all took dates and we all danced the night away. Even being 5'9'' I wore heels! I normally always wear really really high heels but I wore about 3in heels because I knew I would be on my feet all day and I just fell in love with this pair from Badgley Mischka.

My dress: Parker beaded and feather dress (same dress in long) (similar short dress)
