Curly Hair

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone's long weekend was great!
These photos are actually from Saturday night, because I went out to dinner with my cousins, who we didn't get to see on Thanksgiving for a little belated Thanksgiving celebration! But I wore the same outfit today!
So for once I actually did my hair. I know this isn't a blog about hair but I thought I should share! (Omg hair and share rhyme! Lol!) If you have been following me for a while you have seen that I am very very lazy when it comes to styling my hair. It is either down or goes up in a pony tail. My hair is naturally very straight and doesn't really hold a curl or an up-do or anything really, so I just go with it and wear it down pretty much every day.
Well, on Saturday night my hair looked a little crazy, so I decided to curl it. I never straighten my hair or curl it or braid it.... so the fact that I curled it was very odd for me. Long story short, it took me over an hour to curl my very thick hair and I hair sprayed it and everything and literally right after these pictures were taken, all the curls fell out.... :(
So if anyone has any ideas of how to hold a curl in really straight hair... let me know!!!

Thanksgiving

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Yesterday afternoon my family came over my house for Thanksgiving! We ate so much food!!!!
Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holidays! As much as I love the food and the gifts, I just love spending time with my family!
My siblings and I all live in the same town but we are always  busy and sometimes that means we don't always get to see each other very often. Holiday's or birthday's or any kind of celebration is when we all come together and share some laughs.
Last night we went around the table and all said what we are thankful for: family, food, love, health, etc.  I actually started getting pretty emotional when I said that I was thankful for my family because when I say I am thankful for them I really am. I am really close to all of my siblings and grandparents and nieces and nephews and I am (hopefully-still haven't gotten in anywhere yet) going to college next year and it is going to be really different. I know that I will be home to celebrate holiday's with my family but I won't just run into my sister or brother in town at Starbucks or at school. And I know I won't be able to just stop by their houses and hang out. It's going to be really different next year, and I know that I'm growing up and this is what happens but it's a very bitter sweet time in my life.
So besides the emotional part of my six hour and five course meal last night, I had a wonderful time like I always do with my family!
I hope everyone else that celebrates also had a great day!! :)

The Causal Way to Wear a Blazer

I bought this blazer a couple of years ago but I could never figure out how to wear it and look pulled together and preppy but at the same time that I was/am a teenager.
I think I've finally figured it out!
A blazer is such a classic and staple item in any women's wardrobe. To wear it so it is appropriate for my age and for a casual environment like school, you have to wear other casual, yet preppy pieces with it for, what I think is, the best look.
I wore a checked cotton button down, jeans, boots, a watch and a high pony tail.
The blazer centers the outfit as the other pieces keep the outfit from looking too professional!

Faux Fur Vest

Happy Monday!!
Today was actually in the 30's! Today it finally felt like November! So because it feels like fall finally, I decided to wear one of my faux fur vests!
I love puffer vests, as you can tell from all of my posts but I also love fur vests! They add lots of flair and warmth to any outfit!
This is a short week, only three days because it's Thanksgiving on Thursday and I am so excited! I love celebrating Thanksgiving with all go my family! I have it at my house this year and I think there will be 15 of us!
Also, this is my 100th post!!!! I can't believe I have 100 posts already! And I have to say I have a pretty good following! Thank you to everyone for believing in me and my blog!

HELLO!!!
I have been MIA this week because it was my production week for my last high school musical!!
Photos of the show will be up soon!!
Production Week or Hell Week as all of the actors and crew call it is a lot of work! We didn't leave school until 11pm every single night and had to go to school the next day!
I will talk more about the details of the show and all my great costumes and the drama when the pictures come out!
