My Last Day of Undergrad

My last day of college was nothing like I imagined.
It was supposed to be an alcohol-induced day (sorry Mom and Dad) with lots of laughs, hugs and tears.
We were supposed to say goodbye to all of our teachers.
We were supposed to sit on the quad and drink champagne.
We were also supposed to hug our friends and savor the last moments of college together.

Instead, I sat at my desk in my very pink childhood room, cried as I clicked “end meeting” on my last Zoom class, Zoom called my friends, hugged my parents and had a glass of wine at dinner in my house in New York.

But it’s okay.
I’m thankful for the 3.75 years I did have on campus with my friends.

It’s also okay because I will be GRADUATING Wake Forest University!
Virtually, May 18th but also October 31st, 2020 on campus!
We just got the news yesterday about our in-person ceremony and I am so excited to actually get to walk across the stage on the upper quad, in front of Wait Chapel with all of my friends and family watching!

But if your school took away your graduation ceremony, I’m sorry.
But there is no reason to not celebrate YOU and all your achievements.
On May 15th at 12pm EST YOU are graduating at imstillgraduating.com !
Join me and lots of celebrities to celebrate our graduation!

It is also okay because in two weeks, I also will be returning to campus to pack up my belongings.
I’m sure it won’t be a happy time, but I am very happy that I will be able to return to campus once more before October even if it is just to pack up my things.

As everyone has said, this is not the year anyone imagined, but I feel blessed that I fell in love with a place so much that it makes it so hard to say goodbye.
