Fall Fest

I had a very eventful Friday. More eventful than usual.
After my two morning classes, I went all the way to Greensboro to go to the International Civil Rights museum with one of my classmates for a tour of the Woolworth counter, where there were civil rights sit-ins during the 60s. We went for 5 extra credit points for our politics class.
The museum was really cool and I would have loved to spend more time there but we had to get back to campus. I also would have just loved to walk around the museum without a guide. But there was no option to see the museum without a guide, which I found kind of annoying, considering it was a small museum. Because of time constraints we left early from the tour and called an Uber to go back to campus.
Our Uber driver on the way there was really nice, a safe driver, had a clean car, etc. Our driver on the way back was the complete opposite. He picked us up in this sketchy old non-automatic car with "Pro-Gun" control stickers in the back, a ton of air fresheners including one that was a skull and cross bones and dangled next to my head in the backseat. He drove so fast that the normal 42 minute ride got us back to campus in 30 minutes....
He dropped us off safe and sound. I thought great, glad I didn't die! Except I checked the Uber receipt and he charged me $72 for the ride! He never stopped the ride when he dropped me and my friend off on campus. I could see his route after he dropped me off and I could see that he continued to drive around Winston-Salem for a good 30 minutes. So I complained to Uber and they reimbursed me like 20 or so dollars.
After we got back on campus, I was able to return to my Friday activities such as laundry and vacuuming.

In the late afternoon, Blair, Kristin and I went to "Fall Fest" on campus. There was free local produce, kombucha, a petting zoo and bales of hay!
So of course we took a cute fall photo! We really wanted to go to a pumpkin patch or pick apples or some kind of fall activity to take cute Insta worthy pictures at, but we settled for just some bales of hay!

After our little photo shoot, 7 of my hall mates and I piled into Alex's car and went downtown for some Mexican food! We went to The Porch! It was so good! I had such a nice time just hanging out with the girls and getting to know them better! It will be a monthly activity for us!
So it's someone else's turn to pick a restaurant for next month!
Shortly after dinner we went back, my friends had a fashion show in my room, trying to pick out what to wear to the various frat formals and I cuddled up in my PJs, did some laundry, called Jack and got ready for bed.
I was in bed at 12:30am, until I wasn't anymore and was up until 3 am helping out some hall mates...
But it's all good. Our hall overall had a rough night but we all survived to live the tale!
