More Black and White

Yes, I know I already wore black and white with these burgundy pants this week... but I can't help it! It is just such a classic look!
And I love the bell sleeves on this shirt, they are so much fun! But I have to say they are a tad bit annoying when trying to take a test.
This blouse is also really great because it is long enough to cover your butt if that is something you like to cover up.

Leaves, Leaves and More Leaves

Have you ever seen so many leaves in your life??
I haven't!!
Last night, we had a horrible storm and as you can see, it took down all of the leaves!!
It's a little sad, because they were so pretty on the trees. It's also sad because that means it is almost winter!! Ahh! I'm not a big fan of the winter. Everything is so sad and dead, but then spring comes along and everything is reborn!

Texture, Pattern and Color

Bonjour mes amis!
Today I am going to talk all about how I pick out an outfit!
Because I am in high school, my weeks are crazy packed! I always have rehearsal and I am always going to bed at 2 am! So when I wake up at 6 am, I am still half asleep and therefore cannot logically and stylistically pick out a cute outfit to wear. (And no, I refuse to wear sweats!)
So on Sundays, after I sleep in and shower I plan out my tentative outfits for the week. Keeping in mind the week's forecast. I line up all of my outfits in my closet for the week and also lay out the jewelry for each outfit.
At 6 am, when I wake up, I check the weather for the day and fix my intended outfit accordingly. The only other thing I have to pick is my shoes. Most of the time, I already have picked out in my head what shoes I am going to wear, but today, I didn't.
So when picking shoes to go with my outfit, I think about what I am already wearing and what shoes will add to the outfit.
It is very important to mix different textures, patterns and colors to create the best outfit. That is what I did today. My shirt is sequined and therefore has a very cool texture, but it is still plain in the sense that it is not a big pattern. My jeans are a neutral and also plain. So I picked my cheetah print flats to add some pattern to my pretty simple outfit, to pull it all together!
My outfit would be too boring if I just wore black flats with this outfit.

What's White and Black and Red All Over?

What's white and black and red all over?
My outfit! Duh!!
I am wearing my favorite colored pants with a pretty white and black patterned shirt with a fun statement necklace. My mom already told me that she wants to borrow my shirt!
The necklace ties in the color of my pants and adds a little unexpected twist.
I love statement necklaces and have yet to really break all of mine out yet. But this is just one of my favorite ones.

The Perfect Fall Preppy Outfit

When I think of the perfect fall preppy outfit, this is it. I am obsessed with this outfit!!
When I think fall, I think plaid, puffy vests and leaves on the ground.
This week I am wearing normal clothes again and I will not be dressed up like a crazy person! (Go check out my spirit week posts if you have no idea what I'm talking about!)

Necklace: Baublebar monogramed set (With my first initial in the middle!)

Spirit Week: Spirit Day

Hey everyone!
I'm so sad spirit week is over.... It was so much fun! I made some great memories with my friends this week!
You might be wondering why I am covered in paint.... well it's a tradition for the seniors to have a paint fight before school on spirit day and then walk around school all day covered in paint. So my friends and I got up at 6am and had a paint fight at one of our local parks! It was freezing but so much fun! And no I did not get punched in the face, it is just paint!
And then on Saturday we had homecoming! We had a parade and then a football game! Our football team finally won a homecoming game! It was so exciting. The final score was 37-0!!
Overall, my grade won spirit week, because we had the most spirit but we did not win homecoming overall because our homecoming float wasn't the best.
I had so much fun this week and I still can't believe that I am a senior.

Spirit Week: "Southern" Day

Hey everyone!
Today for the seniors was "southern" day.
I was not trying to offend any one with these photos, nor were my friends and I trying to make fun of anyone. We just dressed up to be silly and have some fun! We know that not everyone in the south dresses like this, to be honest I look like a cowgirl.
As my AP Government teacher said today, "There are probably schools down south, that for their spirit week are dressing up in pink whale pants and button downs."

I think my southern/cowgirl outfit could be a really cute halloween costume too!
my mom's boots, and my brother's hat.

Spirit Week: Pink Day

In honor of breast cancer the entire school today wore pink.
Breast cancer is very near and dear to my communities heart. Six of my classmate's moms have passed away from breast cancer, two this year.
We sold these shirts, that say Pink Out on them and helped raise $5000 for breast cancer research.

Although the day had a somber tone to it, we still had fun dressing up!
Hope you enjoy our crazy pink outfits!
